Getting Here
All international flights arrive at Faa’a International Airport, located near the city of Papeete on the main island of Tahiti. Because of the close proximity to Tahiti, Moorea is quick and easy to reach. Caution: if you arrive with a night flight, you will need to overnight on the island of Tahiti as there is no transfers between the islands of Tahiti and Moorea after 5 pm.
If your departing flight is very early in the morning, you will also need to stay in Tahiti the night before.
FERRY TO MOOREA
The most convenient way to reach Moorea from Tahiti is by ferry, a scenic journey that takes 30 – 60 minutes. Several ferry companies are operating daily schedules, leaving from the Papeete port and arriving in Moorea’s Vaiare marina. Prices start at 1,500XPF ($15 US) per trip.
First ferry: Around 06:00 each day

FLIGHT TO MOOREA
The scenic 15-minute flight from Tahiti to Moorea leaves daily with prices starting at $115 return in the low season. There is one flight a day most of the year from Tahiti. One flight per day from Moorea to Bora Bora.
